Ilmenite Processing Line

The ilmenite beneficiation processing line is a key system in titanium resource development, primarily used for purifying and upgrading raw ore to produce high-grade titanium concentrate. Its process configuration directly determines the quality of the finished product, production costs, and resource recovery rate.

Guote Equipment provides mature and stable complete ilmenite beneficiation solutions, suitable for large-scale production of different mineral types, including rock-type and sand-type ore. Employing unique processes, it can flexibly combine gravity separation, magnetic separation, flotation, and other separation processes to effectively recover valuable minerals such as titanium and iron. The entire line is equipped with an intelligent control system and environmental protection equipment, achieving efficient, energy-saving, and clean production. The company provides one-stop EPC services, including beneficiation testing, process design, equipment matching, installation and commissioning, and after-sales operation and maintenance.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

  • 01
    Dry Beneficiation Process for Ilmenite
The dry beneficiation process for ilmenite operates entirely without water, offering a simple and highly efficient workflow. After the raw ore is crushed, screened, and classified, it first passes through a medium-intensity magnetic separator to remove iron minerals. It then undergoes secondary cleaning via a high-intensity magnetic separator to effectively separate tailings. This process ensures a stable output of high-grade ilmenite concentrate, making it ideal for the large-scale processing of dry ores.
  • 02
    Wet Beneficiation Process for Ilmenite
The wet beneficiation process offers higher separation precision and is specifically suited for raw ores with high moisture content, strong stickiness, or those that are difficult to process. After the ore is ground into a slurry, a drum magnetic separator is used to remove iron powder. The slurry is then fed into spiral chutes for gravity separation to enrich the titanium minerals. Following dewatering, draining, and drying, the material enters a five-drum magnetic separator for fine separation. This ultimately yields titanium concentrate, iron concentrate, and tailings, resulting in higher product purity and more thorough separation.

Comparison Between Dry and Wet Beneficiation
The dry process is characterized by low operating costs, zero water consumption, and simple maintenance, though it is highly sensitive to the moisture content of the raw material. In contrast, the wet process delivers superior purification results and greater adaptability. It can handle complex and refractory ores while providing more stable separation indicators. In actual production, clients can flexibly choose a dry, wet, or combined dry-wet beneficiation scheme based on the raw ore conditions, site constraints, and budget.
