The ball mill is a widely used grinding equipment that pulverizes materials through the impact and friction of grinding media, driven by the rotation of the cylinder. The equipment is equipped with wear-resistant liners and comes in a wide range of models. Depending on the material characteristics and the discharge method, you can choose from dry grate ball mills, wet grate ball mills, or wet overflow ball mills.

The ball mill boasts a wide range of applications, capable of handling coarse to ultra-fine grinding for solid materials of various hardness levels. It serves as the core grinding equipment in the mineral processing, cement, ceramics, and glass industries, while also playing a vital role in sectors such as chemicals, electric power, refractories, fertilizers, and metallurgy.

PRODUCT STRUCTURE

Ball Mill 7

The working principle of a ball mill is based on centrifugal force and friction. When the cylinder is driven to rotate by the transmission system, the grinding media and materials are lifted to a certain height due to friction. Once the lifting angle exceeds their natural angle of repose, the grinding media cascade or cataract downwards like a waterfall. During the falling process, the media exert a strong impact force that shatters the materials. Simultaneously, as the cylinder rotates, the tumbling and sliding media generate grinding and friction against the materials (and between the materials themselves), further reducing the particle size. Finally, the materials are discharged through the discharge device. Products that meet the required particle size are collected, while oversized coarse particles remain inside the mill for further grinding.
