Rotary Trommel Screen

The trommel screen is a non-vibratory screening equipment. Its core component is a cylindrical screen drum installed at an inclination of 3° to 6°, which is driven by an electric motor combined with a reducer.

Operating on the principle of rolling conveyance, this equipment is highly adaptable to high-moisture, highly sticky, and impurity-containing materials. Featuring a simple structure and large processing capacity, it is suitable for screening both dry and wet materials.

This equipment is capable of particle size classification for various solid materials. It is widely used in mining and coal, building materials and sand making, chemical and metallurgical industries, as well as environmental protection sectors. It is highly adaptable to a diverse range of materials, including quartz sand, raw coal, sand and gravel aggregates, gypsum powder, and domestic waste.

PRODUCT STRUCTURE

After entering the trommel device, the raw material first falls into the buffer drum. Driven by the inclination and rotation of the trommel, the material is evenly scattered onto the screen surface. Through continuous tumbling and rolling, the material moves toward the discharge end under the force of gravity. Particles smaller than the screen apertures (undersize) fall through the screen into the collection hopper, while particles larger than the apertures (oversize) are discharged through the coarse material outlet at the end of the trommel.

The tumbling and rolling motion of the material inside the drum effectively dislodges particles trapped in the screen apertures, preventing screen blinding. Additionally, a comb-type cleaning mechanism continuously cleans the screen surface in real time, ensuring continuous and highly efficient screening.
