Shandong 3,000t/d Quartz Glass Sand Mineral Processing Plant
The client's raw ore was natural sand, an imported mineral with inconsistent quality. They hoped to obtain more qualified products through a new process solution.
After a preliminary review of the project, Guote provided the client with a general technical proposal and quotation. The client was highly satisfied and signed a subsequent project contract with Guote. Guote will successfully complete the project and put it into production in 2023.
GUOTE SOLUTION
-
1
Pre-screening and Initial Washing: The raw ore is conveyed to the pre-screening machine via a feeder belt equipped with a scale. The undersize product is directly fed into a spiral ore washer for preliminary washing to reduce the ore's mud content.
-
2
Scrubbing: The pre-washed material is then scrubbed in a scrubbing machine to further clean the ore surface.
-
3
Desludging and Slurry Balancing: The slurry produced after scrubbing is pumped into a desludging hopper located above the grading tower via a slurry pump. Here, sand, mud, and impurities are separated, further reducing the mud content and simultaneously balancing the slurry.
-
4
Particle Size Classification (I): Coarse sand is separated. The desludging product enters a secondary drum screen to separate the coarse particles larger than 26 mesh. This +26 mesh coarse sand is transported to the coarse sand yard for storage as a product.
-
5
Particle Size Classification (II): Fine sand is separated from qualified products. The fine product below 26 mesh on the drum screen enters a thickening hopper and hydraulic classifier. The hydraulic classifier is responsible for separating fine particles below 140 mesh (0.1mm).
-
6
Magnetic Separation and Iron Removal: The qualified particle size products separated by the drum screen and hydraulic classifier enter a high-magnetic plate magnetic separator (magnetic field strength of 10,000-11,000 GS). This equipment primarily removes all mechanical iron and some weakly magnetic iron.
-
7
Dehydration and Finished Product Stacking: After iron removal, the product enters a thickening hopper for dehydration. After completion, it is transported to a storage shed for stacking as the final qualified product.
PROJECT RESULT
The main product, finished sand, meets the requirements for photovoltaic quartz sand, with a yield of approximately 80-85%. After stabilizing the ore source, the iron content of the finished sand remains below 80 ppm. This significantly exceeded the project's expected targets, and the client was very satisfied.
The entire plant operates smoothly, the equipment performs well, and the mineral processing indicators and economic benefits meet the requirements. Guote's EPC+M+O services have been fully recognized by the client.
