Mexico 1,000t/d Iron Ore Processing Plant
At the end of 2021, a client for a 1,000-TPD iron ore concentrate project in Mexico contacted Guote. Their raw ore, hematite, had a grade of approximately 40%, which was insufficient to meet their needs. They requested a purification solution to reach a grade of approximately 50% and hoped to obtain more qualified iron ore concentrate through new process solutions.
After a preliminary understanding of the project, Guote provided the client with a general technical proposal and quotation. The client was highly satisfied and signed a subsequent project contract with Guote. The project, undertaken by Guote, is expected to be successfully completed in 2022.

Crushing and Grinding: The raw ore is crushed in a jaw crusher and a cone crusher to a particle size below 2 cm. It is then fed through a buffer hopper and a feeder into a ball mill, where it is ground to the target qualified particle size of -60 mesh (adjustable according to actual needs).

Screening and Grading: The ground material undergoes preliminary grading on a drum screen and is then pumped by a slurry pump to a cyclone. The cyclone separates coarse particles larger than 60 mesh (adjustable) and returns them to the ball mill through a return pipe for further grinding.

Magnetic Separation: Fine material below 60 mesh enters a drum magnetic separator (magnetic field strength of 2000 GS), which primarily removes all mechanical iron and some magnetic iron components. The product then enters a vertical ring high-gradient magnetic separator (electromagnetic, magnetic field strength of 10,000 GS) to further remove hematite (Fe2O3), effectively improving the iron grade.

Dehydration: The concentrate after magnetic separation enters a dosing concentrator for concentration, followed by a vacuum disc filter to reduce the concentrate moisture.

Collection: The dewatered concentrate is transported via a belt conveyor to the refined product area for storage. The entire production line is equipped with a high-efficiency thickener that collects and treats water used in various systems, enabling tailings sedimentation and clean water reuse, thus enabling water recycling.

Tailings Treatment: The tailings produced by sedimentation are conveyed by a slurry pump to a plate and frame filter press for separation of the tailings and water. The dewatered tailings are transported to a stockpile, and the filtrate is returned to the water system for reuse.
PROJECT RESULT
Since its commissioning, the 1000TPD iron ore concentrate project has been operating stably, meeting iron ore concentrate requirements and demonstrating reliable equipment quality. Following process benchmarking, the project has exceeded overall expectations by 20%, achieving high customer satisfaction.
