Malaysia 600t/d Photovoltaic Sand Processing Plant
Alluvial sand deposits are formed by weathering and alluvial quartzite.
For use in photovoltaic glass, further processing and purification are required to reduce the iron content.
Guote developed a corresponding process flow plan based on the site conditions.
GUOTE SOLUTION
-
1
Pretreatment: After excavation and transportation, crushing and screening, the raw ore particle size is initially uniformed.
-
2
Scrubbing and Classification: This process aims to remove the iron oxide film and attached impurities from the surface of the quartz sand particles. A spiral scrubber or trough scrubber uses a high-concentration slurry to achieve the scrubbing effect through vigorous agitation by blades. The resulting fine mud (-200 or -325 mesh fine impurities) is separated. A drum screen can also be used for preliminary separation of coarse particles from fine mud.
-
3
Core Purification - Magnetic Separation: A high-gradient magnetic separator generates extremely high magnetic field strength, effectively removing weakly magnetic impurities. It is the most important and effective physical method for reducing the iron content (Fe₂O₃) of quartz sand.
-
4
Dehydration and Drying: A dehydration screen removes most of the moisture, and the finished product then enters a rotary dryer for drying and packaging.
PROJECT RESULT
Alluvial deposits are widely distributed around the world and are characterized by high grade, low investment barriers, and rapid returns. For this project, Guote provided a full range of services, including process design, equipment supply, and on-site installation guidance, ensuring the successful commissioning of the mine and achieving production targets.
